Some Exciting News to Share!!

I got some amazing news on Friday.... I will be a part of the 2012 Epiphany Crafts Design Team! This is truly an honor to be designing alongside some amazingly talented gals. Here is the rest of the design team:

Epiphany Crafts 2012 Design Team
Nina Ostermann – Germany
Ursula Schneider – Arizona
Tessa Buys – California
Amanda Jones – United Kingdom
Sarah Hill – Indiana (that's me!!)
Thienly Azim – Canada
Ginny Hughes – New Hampshire
Amanda Coleman – Idaho
Tamara Tripodi – California

We’d like to welcome back to the team….
Andrea Budjack – Florida
Jennifer Priest – California
Mandy Koeppen – Michigan
Katarina Damm-Bloomberg – Finland
Audrey Pettit – North Carolina
Gina Lideros – California

Now I want to share one of the layouts I submitted for this amazing team. I used The Paper Bakery's February Kits "Home Grown" & "Grandma's Attic." I also highlighted Epiphany Craft's button tool on the tag.

"Dad & Me"

I traced a Mister Huey's mask for the ampersand. I just love the big impact it makes on the layout.

I used some of the book pages included in the Project Kit "Home Grown," some Basic Grey papers, a button, and some twine for this quick but super cute embellishment.

This is a close up of the tag highlighting the Epiphany Crafts buttons. This button tool is absolutely just SO MUCH FUN! I had a blast making all of these different buttons to match my project :)

I hope to see you back soon. I will have lots more Epiphany Crafts projects to share once I start on my DT assignments... can't wait for my box of goodies to come in the mail to start playing!! Have a happy Monday. Hugs!

Puppy Kisses

I am absolutely loving being on the Ruby Rock-It design team!! Their collections are just so beautiful. For our February assignments we were allowed to do anything we wanted!! So I decided to mix up a couple collections to whip up this layout for my mom.

I used the Keepsake collection AND the new Nostalgia collection. I also used the new Sugar Candy paper (that's the background paper that I sanded a little). Even though they are different collections, they still work perfectly together!

And here are some close ups of the layout:

I even used a shipping tag on my layout... you can get these SUPER CHEAP at your local office supply store. Just stamp a little saying on it, and it is a fast and easy embellishment! I tied some paper twine (yep, Ruby Rock-It exclusive goody!) on the tag and tied it in a sweet bow.

Enjoy your day, hope to see you back tomorrow. Comments are always accepted and appreciated below :)

Apples

Have you ever looked for a kit club with some amazing scrapbook goodies along with some vintage ephemera? Look no further! The Paper Bakery is your kit club then!! I always include some sort of fun vintage item in the add-on kits so your kits will always be unique.

The February Add-On kit "Grandma's Attic" has vintage Vertagreen notebook sheets, washi tape from Hambly, and Maya Road wooden doilies... and that's just to name a few.

Here's a layout I did using BOTH the February Add-On Kit "Grandma's Attic" AND the February Project Kit "Home Grown." These kits can be found HERE. You must check them out :)

My husband, sisters, and parents always go to the orchard to pick some apples to make homemade apple pie every year. This picture of my younger sister, Kara, was PERFECT with for the February Kits!

Here are some close ups of the yummy goodies in the kits:

Daily Notes

Happy Friday!!

Here's a project I made for Ruby Rock-It with one of their new collections: Vintedge. This fabulous collection has a vintage feel with an edge to it (hence the name lol). I think my favorite part of this project is the banner.

I made this notebook from a hardcover notebook from a local craft store. The notebook was only $1!! I covered the notebook with a corner of a piece of paper (that had an image on it-the bird & filigree). I covered the cover with various rub-ons (yep, from Ruby Rock-It!), word stickers, the banner, bling (of course), and the title of glitter alphas.

This notebook was SUPER easy to make and SUPER fast! I'd love to see you make one for your daily notes. Create one and leave a comment with the link. So Happy Scrapping!! I hope you all are having a wonderful Friday and hope to see you back soon!

Home Grown!

Hello Today!

Yesterday was the BIG REVEAL of the February Kits at The Paper Bakery Kit Club!! You will not want to miss out on these kits. My fabulous Design Team member Angie designed this month's project kit, HOME GROWN. With this kit you can get downright messy with paint and mists. HOME GROWN is the perfect kit to jump into mixed media if you've ever wanted to try it out.

And the February Add-On kit is just as amazing!! GRANDMA'S ATTIC is the perfect coordinating kit to the project kit. Use either kit separately or combine them!!!

Here's a project I created using BOTH February kits HOME GROWN & GRANDMA'S ATTIC.

And some close ups of this project :)

Check out both of the kits HERE and I'd love to have YOU be the next monthly member!!

HUGS!

My Sweet Girl

Happy Monday!!

I wanted to share a layout I did for my Ruby Rock-It design team gig. It was free form February on the Ruby Rock-It blog so we could create anything we wanted!! I figured I would try my hand at a little paint :)

The entire layout is put together using the newest Ruby Rock-It goodies!! The background pink paper is new glitter dotted cardstock. The rest of the layout was created using the beautiful Nostalgia line. I think my favorite part of the layout is the fabulous flower... also from Ruby Rock-It! The glitter letters are part of their fundamentals line... good for any type of project!

If you LSS hasn't picked up any Ruby Rock-It yet, tell them they should! It's beautiful paper and wonderful embellishments!

Enjoy your day and come back tomorrow to see another Ruby Rock-It project. Hugs!

I got an award!!

I was checking out all of my newest friends and their blogs through my new design team gig, Let's Get Sketchy. I came across a most WONDERFUL post from one of my fellow DT members Belinda... I was nominated for a Liebster Blog Award!! I love it!

For those who haven't heard, here's a quick rundown:
The origins of the Liebster Blog Award are somewhat
unclear but general consensus is that they originated in
Germany. Liebster, meaning “favorite” or “dearest”, is here to
showcase bloggers with fewer than 200 followers. Upon
accepting this award the recipient must then pass it on to
five more blogs that have 200 or less followers.
Here are the Liebster rules:
**Choose 5 up and coming blogs of fewer than 200 followers to award the Liebster to.
**Show your thanks to the blogger who gave you the award by linking back to them.
**Post the award on your blog. Link back to the blogs you have given the Liebster to so everyone else can pay them a visit.

I think this blog award is so cool cause there are TONS of blogs out there with fabulous work that have under 200 followers. So, here is my list in no particular order:

Have a great day and come back and see me!!

At the Orchard

There's a new sketch up at The Paper Bakery this week! Grace does such a great job with the sketches. This one was so much fun to work with.

Here's the sketch:

And here's my take on it:

I flipped the sketch on its side for something a little different. I love how simple the layout is and all of the small details.

This layout was done with The Paper Bakery's Add-On kit "Grandma's Attic" AND the Project Kit "Home Grown." Both of these fabulous kits are revealed on Feb 15th... not too much longer :)

Enjoy the rest of the week!! I'll be back soon.

HUGS!

Let's Get Sketchy DT Call!!

I found a new sketch challenge site that is just starting up and they are having a DT call!! Let's Get Sketchy looks like it is going to be an amazing sketch challenge site.

There are just a few more days for the deadline to apply... so if this is something you would be interested in, too, you still have time. Since they are having a DT call, I thought it would be awesome to try out :) To apply, you had to do a layout using their DT call sketch. I loved the sketch so much I just had to do a layout!

Here's the sketch:

And here's my take on it... I used the February Paper Bakery Project Kit "Home Grown" and the Add-On Kit "Grandma's Attic" to put together the layout. Both of these kits are available on February 15th!! Stay Tuned :)

And here are some close ups:

Have a great rest of the week!!!
